Haz showing interest in Phillip Rivers?
Remember last year\'s draft the admin had baited everyone into thinking we would be picking a CB.....I call it a smokescreen.......But has anyone yet figured out why we didn\'t draft a CB? This year if a QB is picked over a LB it would pi-- off a few fans. Keep in mind I am in know way advocating that Brooks is the future.

If we want Rivers, we are going to have to trade up to get him. I just can\'t see him falling all the way to the 18th selection.
Rivers seems like a high risk prospect to me. He will either be really good or really not good. I can\'t see a great deal of middle ground with him. I woud not be in favor of such a coin flip with our first selection given the needs we have on the defensive side of the ball. |

BandB-
If this were to happen I\'d be pretty upset. Discombobulated, but switch teams? If I can endure all these tough years as a Saints fan then I think that this could be a forgivable offense. A qb would have to be pretty dadgum special to warrant a pick in the first round when the Saints seem to be set at that position. My response to rage\'s post was a slightly overboard seeing as how his comment was probably made in jest. If his comment wasn\'t made in jest then I meant every word. Disloyalty is a serious offense. To me, if a man has no loyalty then he has no worth. To borrow from Gator.. [hands on hips with flag blowing in the background]. |

Haslett is most likely just getting the Saints fans ready for the block buster trade of this years draft .
Brooks to the Chargers for the number 1 pick . McCarthy has come out and said he would take Manning , Saintsfan has made it clear there is no way . Looks like a done deal to me .... :P |

The QB prospects are the only ones Haslett will gladly discuss. Just imagine his reaction if you asked him to share his views on Vilma, Williams, Hall and Robinson.
IF this would somehow happen in another universe, I would be rather upset. I agree with Haz08 that he is a high risk player (even more so than other QBs). |

I doubt I would switch teams, but I would probably become a fan of two teams for the time being. |
