Sean Canfield is not going to cut it, IMHO. While Moore has a great track record in college as well an uncanny anticipatory football throw. Whether this translates into being good enough in the pros is another matter. But methinks you wamt to draft a QB who has a chance to start eventually. We've seen some flashes with Chase, but none whatsoever with Canfield. If Moore lasts until a late round pick, why not? Especially if the Saints get a few compensatory picks this year...they should get a few.

"They should get a few."
After what Goodell has done to the Saints, I will be surprised if they let the Saints get the ball to start either half of a single game this year! |

So why burn a draft pick this year when we still have Chase?? Do it next year.

Whether he'll be a free agent or not you tell him to stick around because the job is his when Brees is gone. Like Rodgers with Favre. |

I would take him if we were in dire straights, but we are not.

YEEEEESSSS.
Getting a guy like this so late in the draft doesn't happen every year. He would be great in our system especially after a few years working with/learning from Drew. Chase is most likely gone soon. He's not getting younger and I don't see him just sitting on the bench when he could go somewhere and probably compete for a starting job. I'm a Hokie and I watched Kellen Moore dissect our D in the opening game a few years ago. From what I've heard about him, he's also a really high character guy. I'm telling you, I think this kid could be our future. |
