Waste of a draft pick for the Saints if they do. With limited draft picks and little remaining cap space why would we draft a back-up QB when we already have Chase Daniel and Sean Canfield... both of whom never see playing time as it is.

At some point, you gotta start looking to the future. Brees is the man, but eventually, he will retire. If they are considering it, then it must be because Daniels, and Canfield just arent getting it done.

Canfield and Daniel are both unrestricted free agents after this season. Release Canfield, develop Moore, because likely Daniel is gone after this season anyways. |

Sean Canfield is not going to cut it, IMHO. While Moore has a great track record in college as well an uncanny anticipatory football throw. Whether this translates into being good enough in the pros is another matter. But methinks you wamt to draft a QB who has a chance to start eventually. We've seen some flashes with Chase, but none whatsoever with Canfield. If Moore lasts until a late round pick, why not? Especially if the Saints get a few compensatory picks this year...they should get a few.

"They should get a few."
After what Goodell has done to the Saints, I will be surprised if they let the Saints get the ball to start either half of a single game this year! |
