this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; Too bad he's a head case and may be suspended for off the field issues. He's really jacked up in the head....

Moss is not in the same stratum as Talib.

Besides all the points everyone else has already brought up, there's a difference in bringing someone in for a look see as opposed to trading a draft pick for someone who may face a 5 to 20 year prison sentence... forget the suspension. Apples and oranges.

I actually must have missed the shooting deal. I didn't know about that.

I was more so referring to your "being jacked in the head" comment with Moss. Hall of Famer or not, still willing to gamble.

Yeah from what I read he shot at his sister's boyfriend/husband. Because he was supposedly beating on his sister.

If its true....hell yeah it is. But we won't know until after the investigation. Until then thats just his story. But if its turns out thats what happens after the investigation then I have NO problem with what he did. Thats his flesh & blood he has an obligation to protect his family from harm.

Don't know if Talib was telling the truth there, but if he was... I wouldn't hesitate to shoot my sisters husband if he were beating on her. But fortunately he's a good guy, so far :P

He may have been a head case earlier in his younger years, but at this stage in his career/life, that's debatable. That said, I don't have issues with the Saints willingness to give guys with character issues second chances... as long as the risk factors aren't outlandish. 5-20 years, that kind of fits the bill. Now if that weren't the case, I would definitely kick the tires on his talent if the price was right.. I think he fits Spags' system perfectly minus the baggage.
