this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; Seems like his listed weaknesses are all coach-able problems. If his footwork is slow and he stutter steps in transition and still runs a 4.47, he could easily be a 4.3 or so after proper coaching....

Probably a depth pick and special teams contributer, but who knows maybe he outplays roman Harper when it comes to coverage (not harpers strength) and could win the starting spot

Uh oh...
Mitch posted this in another thread... Per Walter football...
But I wonder if his draft grades were as a CB instead of a safety? |

Don't really care about any one else's board besides ours... especially a mock draft football site(though one I do like).
We probably would have graded out higher if you drafted a name safety like George Iloka. But at the end of the day, his and everyone's elses draft grade isn't worth a single penny. |

Dont see how we were drafting BPA when this dude wasn't even the BPA at his position. This pick stinks. A poor mans Roman Harper. Good in run support, terrible in coverage.

I look for him to boom/bust in 2013 or even 2014. Worst case is he plays special teams, which he played well in college. |

With Aikeem Hicks and this Safety, it looks like Smith and Harper will be suspended.
Oh, well. |

OK, then he's a Saint and I hope he does well in Spags defense. Safety seems to be where he will land. I'm not overly excited about him......I just he shows up at TC and fits the mold for a safety. We don't have a Sharper to show him the ropes.
