Willie Roaf just told me one of his friends called Junior Seau this morning and asked him to play golf today. He said he couldn't RIP Junior

That's chilling to the bone!

Makes what happened to us today seem so miniscule,

Very sad and unfortunate...

And you know what?

As we type, the NFL is clamoring to figure out precisely how to spin this, because if it truly was a suicide we all know why he chose to put the bullet in his chest and not his head.

A lot of players now are donating their brains to CTE research. I think we all know that in a couple of decades, the game won't look anything like what we see today just like it doesn't look like it did 50 years ago.

We'll be playing flag football in 20 years.

Comapred to the early days of football you can almost say that now. No passing, no pads, no helmets. What has trumped the precautions are size and strength. The only thing to trump size and strength is to minimize contact and that is exactly where the NFL is heading. This sounds crazy but I could see players wearing some big red push button..you press it hard enough and they light up red and a computer determines where they were stopped..I'm not kidding either, give it 20 years.
