Too bad. I remember hearing them call his name Seau and thinking say ow. Good name for a defensive player.
A moment of silence..................

This is so sad. My prayers to his family.

Annoyed that ESPN waited almost an hour to report on the story because they were too busy slamming the Saints. #priorities.

It also angers me that so many people are blaming football for Junior's death. NO ONE knows why people take their own lives, and I'll bet football had nothing to do with it.

I'll bet it had a lot to do with it if they find CTE in the later stages. It's well documented to cause depression and dementia.

Give ESPN a break. I'm sure with a death they wanted to confirm the story, and they aren't used to confirming anything - they have no confirmation workflow to follow so I'm sure the delay is the result of them having to figure out how to actually confirm something 'on the fly'.

TMZ had confirmed it long before ESPN mentioned anything about it. Say what you want about TMZ, but they're pretty accurate with their stories. Even if ESPN could have broken away from Bountygate for just a few seconds to say, "We have breaking news. Reports that Junior Seau is dead. Stay tuned for further updates."

For a station that prides themselves as "the worldwide leader in sports," they sure pick and choose which breaking news stories to report on.

Sad, it appears he must have been dealing with some serious symptoms and just decided life was not worth living in that condition. A lot of players have died from that SB team from 94, I believe it's 9 or 10.
