Why shouldn't we? Why should we believe Roger. Just because he's the commish. Does that mean he is incapable of lying? HELL NO.

The players never having been shown the evidence against them, and Roger's refusal up to this point to show his hand to the NFLPA is damning in my opinion. Whatever he has is likely flimsy at best - and he knows it - and he knows opening it up to the NFLPA will result in a "oh but HELL no" comment from Upshaw and, for that matter, any American with a respect for innocent until proven guilty.

Its amazing to think that the New Orleans Saints, might actually be responsible for removing Godell, if what we know to be true using common sense is the truth. No way he keeps his job after the millions in law suits.
We would be adored by every fan of the NFL,lol |

Look at it this way. What have the Saint's player's to gain by lying? Goodel is a dictator. The judge, jury, executioner on all enforcement matters. Fessing up may have gotten players a more lenient sentence.
The NFL, on the other hand, has billion$ to loose. And with every retired player's death the price keeps going up. I think the NFL is trying to keep Washington from turning this into another MLB steroid circus with the owners being 32 clowns in a mini. This is going to get really ugly and football won't be the same. By punishing the Saints so severely Goodell and the owners are trying to distract Washington and the public into thinking that they have the problem under control. |

For us, the uglier the better.
At some point, the league will have to pony up ALL the evidence. If all they've got is Hargrove's statement and Williams' co-operation, they may have to drop this thing, and just let all be warned. |
