I can understand your concern about Hicks but we have a lot of bodies at that position. In my opinion this was a future pick, meaning the Saints saw the talent and know the weaknesses and plan to bring him along slowly. I think he will see some rotational PT this year as he works on the coachable aspects of his game and get him some experience in working with the new techniques. I would expect to see him looking like a true find in year 3.

Yep, the draft is for future starters mostly. If we want to point to some players stepping up this year, we need to look at the last 2 or 3 drafts for those guys.

Partick Robinson
Martez Wilson
Johnny Patrick
Cam Jordan
Greg Romeus
Charles Brown
Junior Galette

Its time for some of these guys to step up their game a bit.

Surprisingly Robinson started to play a hell of a lot better after the haircut.

LOVE the list of players that need to step up! One UDFA that I forgot to mention is LB Kadarron Anderson from Furman. In my Preseason Preview of the SoCon, I had him as the Best Pro Prospect in the conference.. Furman's LBs were SICK!
