Considering one of the panelist consider Brees & Eli to be about equal, that should tell you all you need to know!

Seriously; Drew breaks Marinos 20 year record, Graham breaks the TE yardage record FIRST then finishes 2nd by 14 yards, and Sproles breaks the total yardage record! Am I missing something here?
Yes I am; the offense beat the 2000 Rams teams in total yards to become the new "greatest show on turf" |

lol. Wow... I didn't read the article because the question was so absurd, I wasn't interested. Someone honestly thinks Eli is equal to Drew?
Even when Eli threw for almost 5000 yards last year, he still finished 500 behind Drew. Drew is the most accurate passer in the history of the league. Eli isn't even close in that category. His leadership skills are routinely questioned, but in the two times his team won the super bowl the media acts like he's some kind of genius. The only reason they even won that first super bowl was because of a great performance by their defense, and a lucky catch by David Tyree. They scored 17 points in that game. Eli was hardly a hero. Drew has broken numerous records and even broke his own record for completion percentage last year. In our super bowl win, he was clearly the best player in the game. A lot of times, the super bowl MVP is given to the QB of the winning team just because he won. But Drew carried us in that game. Anybody ever seen Eli carry a team on his back? And to top it off, he talks like a 4 year old, but that's another story. |
If I had a nickel for every time I heard that, the NFL would fine and suspend me.

One guy gets it.
Associate editor Arthur Arkush: "Not to take anything away from the Super Bowl champions, who are extremely dangerous in their own right, but arguably no offense in the NFL hums the way the Saints does when it’s firing on all cylinders. New Orleans poses a plethora of mismatch nightmares for its opponents, what with Darren Sproles’ speed and Jimmy Graham’s great size and athleticism, and it has the perfect triggerman, Drew Brees, to light up a scoreboard quickly. Eli Manning was tremendous last season, but he doesn’t match the efficiency or accuracy of Brees, and the Giants’ running game was virtually nonexistent until the postseason. It says here New Orleans is the far more dynamic offense." |
