Collusion Suit
I don't have a link on my phone. Sorry
The NFLPA is alleging owners and the NFL colluded on a secret salary cap in the uncapped year. Hence the cap violations in Dallas and DC. I tell you what. The NFL has a growing and lasting stink coming from their New York offices. The Saints started this thing looking pretty guilty. We may just come out smelling like magnolias. Also a scary thought... The Black and Gold might be more quiet than they want to be for more important unrelated reasons. I have a feeling this movie has a lot more twists and an unwritten ending. |

There's something were not seeing. Before the CBA, it was Owners vs Players. Rogers' face was put in place of the owners. He's a $20m scapegoat. His interest is his job. His job is to protect the owners' interests. We don't need another fight like the CBA.
I believe it's Jerry Jones behind everything. Today is conspiracy theory day in my office. |

Collusion is an agreement between two or more persons, sometimes illegal and therefore secretive, to limit open competition by deceiving, misleading, or defrauding others of their legal rights, or to obtain an objective forbidden by law typically by defrauding or gaining an unfair advantage
What you are not reading is why those teams were punished.. It was NOT because they signed new players and exceeded the salary cap. it is because they took present contracts and front loaded them into that one year so they has relief the following years, thus giving them an unfair advantage. There is no collusion. What the owners were TOLD is, this is an uncapped year, do not restructure present contracts (front load them) to circumvent upcoming caps... And that is exactly what Dallas and Washington did. 29 our of 32 owners agreed that what Dallas and Washington was "out side of the spirit" of the uncapped year and their punishment was just. Dallas and Washington voted no Tamps bay Abstained. If I were the league i would turn around and sue Washington and Dallas for collusion. |
