Just stoppin by w/ some of my own thoughts on yesterdays post game interview w/ Aaron Brooks....
First off, I am a big supporter of AB, and do think the future of the Saints lies w/ him. However, I will not defend the fact that he still has ALOT of maturing to do, both on and off the field. I listened to his comments after the loss yesterday, and ONCE did he accept a portion of the blame for his horrible play. Just one int. he said he was trying to make something happen...But he was responsible for 2 ints and one fumble in the RED ZONE. I understand QB's will have bad days ( see Bret Favre yesterday ) but they will also ante up thier ego and take the blame ( see Bret Favre press conf ) AB refuses to do so, and in my opinon, until he does, he will ALWAYS have leadership problems. IF he can't take some heat, and lead by example, he will never be able to truly lead this team. We will always be in search of a WR, or defensive guy to be a leader which never did us any good in the past.... anyway tried to keep it short....nice to be here.... |

Welcome to the site. I agree that Brooks needs to take responsibility for the loses. He is young and it will hopefully come. I am not defending him because I think he lost that game for us single handedly yesterday.

Good posts top to bottom. I have to agree with all comments here. If Brooks fails to take responsibility for his actions, how can you put faith in him as a leader?
Good leaders rightfully get the glory after a victory, but they also are the first to admit when their decision lead to defeat. Aaron apparantly has not learned this yet. Hopefully, someone in the know can teach him this concept so that he can mature as a real leader before its too late... Go SAINTS!!! David on Houston (Franklin and New Orleans this week) |

Welcome aboard...we\'re more fun than a Saturday night on Bourbon Street...ok, maybe not, but nice to have you here anyway. FYI I\'m also a big supported of AB and I agree that as the \"leader\" he should shoulder more of the blame for Sunday\'s loss. Bottom line tho is that he\'s young. Let\'s hope he comes around...

Welcome to the funny farm. I know i might be crazy and all that but i did read an article where he did take blame for the loss, or at least his part in it.

Oh yeah about Brooks. Yeah it is time that he started to grow up in the leadership department. He has to man up to the losses. Besides a true leader is one who has learned to accept none of the credit and all of the blame. And who ever posted this earlier is right. Aaron is not showing a lot of maturity and leadership right now. The offense is out of sync and Deuce is on the sidelines. That\'s why they play the games. AB needs to step up.
