Payton would be an excellent 3rd stringer and could pass Stecker as 2nd stringer

Everyone needs to get off of Payton, you change his last name and he is now a nobody. Maybe if he was the true starter on his college team I would accept that he was a decent back. He\'s never impressed me and apparently not many scouts because only people on this board seem to talk about him. People need to let the name thing go.

It reminds me of the Quincy Carter thing when he was at Georgia, he was like the 2nd or 3rd string QB and Dallas goes and drafts him and no one can understand why he isnt worth a damn.

It\'s Just An Opinion, Unless Spoken By Me!!

I wouldn\'t mind seeing Brandon Everage brought in.
I\'m concerned about Mitchell and depth.

Jonathan Harrell - L.B. - Northern Illinois

He rushed for 987 yards with a 5.4 yard average and 7 touchdowns while sharing time with two other running backs. He also had a receiving touchdown. The guy played behind Clinton Portis and Willis Mcgahee and Frank Gore (who was injured part of the time). I can\'t understand why he didn\'t get drafted in the later rounds, but he has now signed with Tennessee. He\'s also 6\'2\" and 220. His 40 time wasn\'t very impressive, according to scouts.
