It appears I was absolutely, 100 percent right (pats back profusely). Condon wants to set a precedent, all right - and that precedent is that a player's franchise tags with past teams can be used against a current team looking to apply that tag.

So then the line is drawn in the sand. Loomis or Brees, Brees or Loomis. who will crack. Who could lose in all of this ? the City of New Orleans , the Saints, the fans, Drew and even Loomis, his job that is.

My god, well this puts a new spin on it for me. I love Drew, don't get me wrong, I love what he has done for our city, our team. But come on man, you are only one player my friend. I'm almost to the point you can sit your ass out this season.

I feel the same way. What Condon is asking is beyond reason, he won't get it. Chase is no Brees but who's to say...another year with more cap room could mean a more balanced team on both sides of the ball.

I'm sorry guys, but before Brees, there wasn't really a team there.... He is not just our HOF QB, he also sells tickets, and brings interest from free agents, that otherwise wouldn't even consider us. He did something, that no other QB we've ever had, could do, and I think he has earned the money. He deserves to be paid enough, to let him retire as a Saint. That's my opinion mind you, but I don't think I'm alone on this.

Please got get me wrong on this, I know what he has done and will continue to do as a Saint. We might (the team) bend and pay him what his agent wants. I hear all kinds of figures, I really don't know what is the real deal until he signs. I do know he turned down a hell of a lot of money already. So we might meet in the middle I hope.

No player is ever bigger than the team and I'm getting really sick of this. Time for Brees to sign or the Saints to move on with Daniels.
