Saints add signing bonus to Chris Ivory's contract
Though the Saints were not required to, a source with knowledge of Ivory's contract said the team has tacked on a $72,900 signing bonus to the final year of his contract, making up for the income he lost while on the physically unable to perform (PUP) list last season. No additional years were added to the contract, and Ivory is still scheduled to be a restricted free agent at the end of the season.

Hey Drew, there goes another $80,000. You should have signed months ago.
It appears he will either play under the tag or sit out. He didn't want to negotiate with us last year, so I guess fair is fair. Congrats Chris, you earned it. |

Glad he got some respect and graditude. I dont think that Drew failed to negotiate he fulfilled his contract and now the Saints are being ****ty with him. Drew is not going to play under the tag period. This is what the Saints are thinking and it is not going to happen. Dont have to worry about the Alabama boy he is hurt and that is his M.O. He finds a way to put himself on the bench because he is not durable. I dont think he will ever be. He is a good running back but this will continue to be his downfall. PT and possibly Sproles are the only possible everydown capable backs we have. In this respect I think Ingram has a long way to go.
