"The reason they yelled stay off the quarterback wasn't to protect him, if the team gets found doing contact at this point they lose practices. It happened to the seahawks yesterday, they did contact in training and goodell docked two days of practice from them" Guess you called it, bro ... or you gave Goodell ideas! |

Not that I will ever defend Goodell's integrity, but it would have looked really bad had they not said that they would look into the Saints situation. |

Wait; really? The NFL is taking away practices for fights during? I guess Roger is trying to take the competition out of the game? I thought they mean't "football" contact...

The no contact rules are part of the new CBA. If they don't enforce it, they will have their azzes sued off by the NFLPA.
It's pretty simple. THE LEAGUE AGREED TO THIS BECAUSE THE PLAYERS INSISTED ON IT! The fighting contact isn't what's being investigated. It's whether contact prior to incited the fight. |
