A begging post...
To the good people of the WhoDat nation (particularly any hotel owners) Is there anyone that knows of a place me and my Wife could stay during the week of the Superbowl? We have tried and failed to secure a room in or around the French Quarter. We need somewhere around there as we don't want to feel like we can't come and go as we please. If anyone has a room and decided they don't like football anymore, we would quite happily buy the room off of you and even buy you an ice cream! Eh, what about that! This is sent out in hope and sorry if it is on the wrong forum but I can't find one that is marked 'The Desperate Brit'. Thank you for your time.

You'll have to sacrifice convenience to be anywhere near New Orleans for this Superbowl.

Heck, it might be about as cheap to rent a place short-term!

try CBD, I've always had luck landing a room (size & luxury may need to be compromised) there on short notice and for big events....

The Hotel St. Charles still has rooms (last I checked) & it is in a good location between the dome & the French Quarters. It's a walk to the dome, but it isn't bad.
