There is Hope... Geaux Saints!
I was angry when A.B. fumbled time and time again and Haslett would not sit him down.
I was angrier when we missed the playoffs by losing to the worst teams in the league. I was infuriated when the Saints announced, unshocked, that Brooks would have surgery. When I saw Jake Delhomme come in at the half and rally his team from a 17 point defecit to win on opening Sunday 2003 I went ballistic. When I looked at the fantasy scores that night, the QB that led the league in passing yards for Week 1 was Jeff Blake I just gave up. But I just had the most startling epiphany. To hell with it all. Questionable players or coaching is always gonna be there. We are always going to be favored to go nowhere until we get somewhere. So, don't let it get ya down. Lightning will strike. Quickly and out of the blue. And it WILL happen. We just have to BELIEVE that, unlike many of the first generation of Saints fans, we will live to see it. And mabye this year. There is good competetion for the WRs this year, with a new WR coach and the general challenge that goes with it, hopefully the WRs will shape up as a whole, wash off the butterfingers, and give A.B. targets all over the place. As for A.B., while I would prefer someone else, Brooks is our QB and we could be much worse off. With Boo breaking out and Conwell getting the same hint the WRs got, TE should help out plenty in the passing game. And with Deuce, we can't go wrong. Especially behind our new FB. We just have to have faith the o-line will come together and we are unstoppable on offense. As for the D, lets hope they come together this year. They will have two training camps and a season together, for the most part. And like I said, you have to expect the unexpected. We could go all the way. As the last two seasons have readily shown, last year's champs may be this year's bottom feeders... And Vice Versa. This could be the year! GEAUX SAINTS! |
