Not sure the NFLPA would get a strike vote passed.
My thoughts would be that ANY comment made to the press could be "thrown back in your face at any time". A better strategy by the players (every player in the union) may just be to decline to make any comment to the press at any event. They may be required to attend events, but they cannot be required to make a statement - "no comment", could be an adequate strategy if used properly. The NFLPA does have the right to fine members and something like that would show a large amount of solidarity within the union. For the league to give the players "evidence" after the penalties were handed out gives question to the amount of original evidence the league had - 50,000 documents. Why didn't the league give all documents to the players and make them have TEAM of lawyers overwhelmed trying to get through them in time? |

I for one will rather have Goodell stay as the commissioner and keep steadily ruining the game than risk even a single season of football because of a strike. I know that it makes me sound like a hypocrite for having called for his resignation, but my mental health couldn't take a lockout season in football.
Although, I guess I could get my football fix elsewhere... |
