this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; There's no way Ingram would get traded, the dude needs some time but he will be a great player for us! It's hard for him to get set when we are swapping RB's every play, can't wait to see him ...

It's hard for him to get set when we are swapping RB's every play, can't wait to see him healthy again though, I'd trade ivory, we've got a couple undrafted RB's that supposedly look good |

It's difficult to see Ivory having high enough trade value to make this worth while, because even though we all love his running game when he is healthy, he hasn't been healthy long enough to really produce consistently.
They should only trade Ivory if they are compensated with a high enough pick or if they are really high on one of the other RBs they currently have in the system behind Ivory. No way should they try to trade Ingram away - he is the purest RB they have on their roster and a future star in the league. |

How about Ingram for a first or second round pick next season... Which we do not have.

Goddell never said Saints couldn't have a first or second if the Saints acquired it in a trade, if the Steelers gave a 2nd for Ivory I would hope Loomis would make it happen and the thing is I'd like to keep Ivory because the Saints have shown they can never have enough running backs but something tells me Ingram is going to have a great season this year

He may end up on IR or possibly could get traded, but unless one of those things happen, he will be on the roster. He won't be just cut. Thomas always gets nicked up. Ingram is still a very big question mark. Sproles is just not an every down back. Plus, the memories of the Seahawks playoff game with guys off the street and an injured FB getting plays at RB are still fresh.
