WhoDat is on track here: if we want to call \"fading down the stretch\" a trend for Duece, we need to look at that a bit more closely. I\'m willing to bet that Smith\'s injury (and Duece\'s) were a large factor in the fade last year (thus, to call the \"fades\" a trend, we\'d need to show that they had similar causes).
WhoDat, you forgot another thing we\'d have to revisit: Haz\'s inability to win in December (surely that is entirely Haz\'s fault and could have nothing to do with the players - including Deuce; thus, Duece cannot be to blame for the \"fade\"). ![]() How about what one ought to do if one wants to claim that Duece fades down the stretch: (1) compare games where Duece did well w/o T-rex to ones near the end of the season where he didn\'t, (2) determine if Duece tends to be injured by the end of the season (that constitutes some sort of \"fade\"), and (3) compare games where Deuce was injured earlier in the season to ones toward the end of the season. If someone were to do this, then I would believe claims about the \"trend\" that Duece fades at the end of the season. |
