IDK how big-name of a player is out there for $9mil ... Cliff Avril (DET) at DE is currently on the market & might be a good fit, except he's already turned down 3yrs/$30 million and IDK know that he's worth more then that ... maybe Loomis could work some more of that 'contract magic' and fill a hole in the defense.

Not enough Loomis time left before he serves his suspension. Don't see a big contract coming.

I think that the migraines are now more of a thing of the past for him, at least that was they were reporting from the Vikes' camp - apparently they found a treatment that works for him. But now it's all the other injuries with his knees, fingers, and most importantly the shoulder for which he had to have the surgery after the regular season ended. Still, I don't think the Vikes will trade him away, and since he is under contract he really doesn't have a choice of switching teams. Nevertheless, when he is healthy and at his game, he really is awesome to watch on the field and any team would be lucky to have him - it's just the lack of consistency that is the problem. |

Don't know why this isn't being brought up but A. Carter at 33 would be a great 1 year signing for us. He had 10 sacks last year before getting injured. Will he comeback and play the same, maybe and maybe not but he would fill the pass rushing roll and could school all the new young talent we have.
