this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; Don't see what the fuss is about. It's not like he was ever counted on or put in position to contribute. Colston/Graham/Moore/Meachem/Henderson/Sproles/Thomas/Ingram .... .... .... Arrington I mean crap... so what if the 5th/6th receiver on our roster isn't contributing. ...

If you are disappointed in him, it's because you were expecting to be someone he's not. He's not Marques Colston part deux... he never was. If this is finally the year he can become even a 30 catch guy for us... great. If not, we'll move on to someone else. |

I believe that what is happening with Arrington this year (basically fighting it out with Joe Morgan) is what was supposed to happen *last* year, but then Morgan got injured in preseason. When Morgan got injured last year, Arrington's status became a lot less do-or-die. But now it's time to sort this roster spot out, once and for all, and have them all push each other and compete. The arrival of Toon makes it even more interesting.

I'm curious, who was AA supposed to replace last year? Colston? Henderson? Meachem?

Need another deep threat. AA and Toon are slow. My bet is on Morgan. Little faster and seems confident enough to grab this spot.

I think Roby is as good as gone. The Saints have enough players that can return kicks and punts. All he would be is someone to play kickoff coverage anymore. I see AA, Morgan, and Toon making the team unless something drastic happens. I have been on the AA wagon for a while and it isn't because I am an alcoholic. With Meach gone, I think he finally latches on to the main roster. Expectations shouldn't be high on the guy with Graham, Colston, Henderson, and Moore getting the bulk of the catches along with our RB corps. If he gets 20-30 catches, it could be considered a successful year from a 4, 5, or 6 spot.
