I think Newton will be tougher. I don't see RGIII giving us much of a problem his first game in the NFL. Especially against Spags D.

I think RG3 has a higher ceiling than Fig Newton, but I'm not scared of him in his first regular season game as a pro. Plus, we have to face Newton twice, which is more fearsome, IMO.

I doubted Newton's chance to do much in his rookie season especially without a full offseason of work. I was wrong. My first thought on his second season is that he will take a step back. If for no other reason than Karma. LOL. As far as RGIII goes, I think he will be as good and probably better than Newton. The Saints get a big break with the game being in the Dome. And, of course, as a team, the Redskins are just not good.

If RGIII ends up being good we're certainly playing against him at a great time.

Rookies can be difficult to predict... He could be overwhelmed, or he could be so full of him self that he is oblivious to playing in the NFL....
That being said I will quote Mike Tyson: Everyone has a plan until they get punched in the mouth. (sooner or later reality will set in) As far as for Cam Newton, lets hope the Sophomore Slump is in full effect for him this season. |
