What IS known is that Roaf missed the 2nd half of the 2001 season after hurting his MCL, and was traded pre-draft to KC for a 3rd round pick. At the time it was rumored that his knee wasn't healing properly, but he started all 16 games for KC in 2002 & made the Pro Bowl.
