Nick Toon/Adrian Arrington update

Saints rookie WR Nick Toon (foot) is expected to miss a third straight preseason game next week.

Toon missed the Hall of Fame Game and Thursday night's second exhibition due to a recurring foot injury. He's making no headway in his fight for snaps. Saints interim coach Joe Vitt does anticipate Toon returning "sooner than later."

Saints WR Adrian Arrington is expected to require surgery "of some kind" on his troublesome knee.

Arrington missed New Orleans' first two exhibition games, and it sounds like he'll miss the final three as well after a visit to the office of Dr. James Andrews. No one has stepped up in the Saints' fourth receiver derby as of yet.

I agree he's a good player but 4 years and he only made it the field a hand full of time.
