Make this trade!!!
ST. SHRUNE -I honestly still don\'t think we\'re as deep and solid as the experts makes us out to be at WR. Once pads are put on and Donte stays healthy and Devery shows signs of not being a bust, then only can we say we look okay at the position, and dealing Pathon away is okay.
Last year, it seemed that one of our weaknesses was WR depth. When Horn was hurt, Donte always only \'possible\' for games, our offense lost games for us. Let\'s not forget that I totally agree that one of our weaknesses last year was WR depth. I like Pathon as a #3 receiver but last year when Donte\' was hurt and Horn was playing on a bad knee, Jerome failed to step up and take the pressure off of Joe Horn and threaten the opponents as a go to guy. Pathon without a doubt is a quality receiver in this league, however, with his salary and depth position on the team, a trade involving him would make sense. As far as injuries go, few teams would be able to mount an much of a feared offensive threat in their passing game if they were playing without their #1 and #2 receivers, regardless of depth. |
