Believe me, if the HEAT gets too hot, and the NFL needs to save face because it's FACE-MAN RG made too many power plays, they can FIRE HIM!
Remember, he's just the front man for the owners who are the real financial backers behind the NFL. So keep the HEAT COMING! |

If they don't fire him before 2019, I guess we'll see just how powder-puff Roger can make the NFL

The refs strike might seem like no big deal right now but if it keeps up during the regular season, the average viewer will have the impression that he's getting a lower quality product than he's used to. That's why the memo was sent out NOT to talk about how bad the replacements are doing. Every percentage point of people NOT watching or buying merchandise is potentially millions of dollars. The refs claim this can all be settled for 1.5 million dollars annually. Goodell is playing a game of chicken with the owners money. If he wins, well that's what he's paid to do. If Goodell loses the Vilma case, it will weaken the power the NFL has in the CBA by allowing all players, that get a serious punishment from the commissioner, the chance to sue in court. And lets the government into NFL matters, no way the owners want that. Not to mention Goodell will come off looking like a total jackwagon after his personal, and very public, which hunt in New Orleans of Saints players. It will definitely undermine his, and his offices, credibility in the future. 2,000 former players are suing the NFL. The commissioner is responsible to lessen the financial impact to the owners. If there can't be a deal worked out and a court rules in favor of the players, and awards a huge dollar amount, then, I'm sure, in the eyes of most of the owners, Goodell didn't do his job. And now the insurance company's suit could lead to the owners taking complete liability for the concussion lawsuits. They have the potential of losing Billions of dollars. You know his bosses have to be keeping close tabs on how these things play out. |
