Clayton: Brees, Ryan top 10 QBs

this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; He has New Orleans’ Drew Brees at No. 3. That’s a very lofty ranking, but I think you could at least make the argument that Brees could be No. 1 or No. 2. Clayton has Aaron Rodgers at No. 1 ...

Clayton: Brees, Ryan top 10 QBs

He has New Orleans’ Drew Brees at No. 3. That’s a very lofty ranking, but I think you could at least make the argument that Brees could be No. 1 or No. 2. Clayton has Aaron Rodgers at No. 1 and Tom Brady at No. 2. They’re both great quarterbacks, but are either one of them clearly better than Brees? I’m not so sure.

Re: Clayton: Brees, Ryan top 10 QBs

I think its 3 ab and c. They are all too close to tell. It changes from year to year. Last year Brees was clearly the best. If I had to argue that anyone was second or third I would say Rodgers as he has not been doing it at an elite level as long as Brady and Brees, but then he has more of an upside as he is a good bit younger. QBs i would rate above Ryan in no particular order are Eli, Rivers, Payton, Stafford, Flacco, Rothlesburger, Romo, Vick, Cutler, and Luck will probably be but he doesnt count yet.

I went to the story ready to comment and blast this Clayton guy, but as I got to about halfway through the article I realized this guy is an idiot. It's not nice to criticize idiots. They don't know any better.

First: Pat Yasinskas' Blog is 100% worthless. You get better information quicker right here.

Second: Clayton has been preaching skid britches as top 10 since his rookie year. Seriously. Drugs rrr bad, John. MMmmm, k? Winning a freaking playoff game might help his cause. Clayton is sports reporter in name only. The man is an idiot.

Clayton's a moron. I'm sorry... but having connections with people in the league doesn't make you an expert. For all we know nobody tells this guy anything and then he hits the air with his inferred "analysis." Nothing new for ESPN.

Re: Clayton: Brees, Ryan top 10 QBs

Ryan threw for 4,177 yards, 7.38 yards/att, 61.3% completion rate, for a 92.2 passer rating 29TD/12INT.

Stafford threw for 5,038 yards, 7.60 yards/att, 63.5% completion rate, for a 97.2 passer rating 41TD/16.

With Ryan defenses had to respect the run. With Stafford, not so much.

Yet Ryan is rated higher than Stafford?

It makes no sense why Stafford would be rated that low. It's not even that close. Clayton may have some kind of agenda, cause that's just stupid.

Re: Clayton: Brees, Ryan top 10 QBs

Is he still trying to elevate this douche QB in the same class as Breed? When will he ever learn?
