Draft signings?
Scouring the official NFL website, I keep reading about all the other teams coming to agreements with their draft picks. It occurs to me that I haven't heard word one yet from mission control on the status of our draftees yet. I am sure it is possible that I missed the announcement, but in the case I didn't....is it time to worry? 7 days until camp kicks off, and i need to know if anyone has the scoop on our picks, and if unsigned players are even allowed to report to camp. That would be a nightmare start for our rooks to miss time learning the system due to negotiations.....sign em already!
On a lighter note for you locals...my bar is having our 21st annual Mid-summer Mardi Gras parade on Saturday, August 28th. It is more of a costumed bar stroll through uptown ending with a ball at the Mapleleaf. Tickets are $15 with Ivan Neville's Dumpstafunk featuring Walter Washington as the entertainment until 4am. The Saints are hopefully sponsoring a golf cart and have agreed to donate autographed footballs by Joe Horn and Deuce Mcallister that will be raffled off at the door. Let me know if ya interested and I will save a ticket for you...would love to meet the other local fanatics on here! |

Draft signings?
According to cbssportsline, we haven\'t signed anyone since May 13 (Fontenot). It\'d be nice to get an update and know that Loomis is at least working on this. I don\'t think we\'ve ever been this close to camp without having at least a 7th rounder signed.
Watson is scheduled to attend the \"select a seat\" deal, but he wont be at camp unless he signs. They need to get on the ball. |

Draft signings?
This is the latest I can find. Found this on ESPN:
New Orleans Saints 1. DE Will Smith (Ohio State/No. 18 selection overall): Unsigned 2a. WR Devery Henderson (LSU/No. 50 overall): Unsigned 2b.LB Courtney Watson (Notre Dame/No. 60 overall): Unsigned 5a. DT Rodney Leisle (UCLA/No. 139 overall): Unsigned 5b. FB Mike Karney (Arizona State/No. 156 overall): Unsigned 7. LB Colby Bockwoldt (Brigham Young/No. 240 overall): Unsigned Afraid this ain\'t good news for us. This was as of today. However, the Saints are notorious for being tightlipped on signings as we all know and they seem to wait for the picks above and below to sign before signing their man. |

Draft signings?
This has been the case with most picks in the NFL this year, I\'ve heard. Only 4 of the 1st round picks have been signed so far throughout the league...

Draft signings?
Blame it all on the TEXANS
Their no. 1 was signed for more then the usual at the draft position and now agents are trying to go by the TEXANS scale . I HATE expansion teams ..... |
