Marques Colston

this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; He made some big drops. That said, had he made that one over the middle for a first down, we probably wouldn't have seen him for the rest of the season. I was honestly glad he didn't catch it....

Drew has led some of his receivers into some exposed routes lately...

It's been like that for years. It is what it is.

No; there was the occasional play like that now and then, but I find it's happening more frequently per game now...

And I'm not beating him down for the loss; it's an observation that is there...

No really, it's been like that for years. But that's what makes our offense what it is. We takes chances and for the most part, its worked out great. You can go back to the preseason games a year ago, I thought no way we'd have Colston to begin the year. The man has taken a lot of hard hits over the middle since he's been here.

They each had a bad game. We'll learn from this and be better next game out. I for one will not dwell on this.

Re: Marques Colston

Ok, well, they put Morgan in, how'd that work out? If you benched every guy that didn't play well, you'd have Graham & Moore running a 2 man offense.

Ingram did nothing. PT had 2 good plays. Bench the entire oline. Drew threw 2 INTs & took 2 sacks, so you want to put Daniels in??

Colston had a bad game. It happens. You don't go around benching your best because they aren't having a great day.

Anybody notice how all the guys who we re-upped with big money were not their normal selves today?

Money has a way of making one more comfortable.
The whole seeming lack of focus I attribute to the lack of a stable leadership structure.
I think that we will see more of this as the season progresses.
Even the return of suspended coaches will just add to the instability.
Being wrong about it won't upset me at all.

Re: Marques Colston

Meh.

One bad game does not a season make.

We started off last year 0-1 also.
