Re: Question
this is the second season opener in two years that you can place blame in colstons for a fumble. he did it opening drive against the packers and sunday at the three yard line. maybe he should lay off the butter snacks before the game. also they seemed to have given up on the running game before it ever started. thomas had a few solid runs and ingram had a few solid stops at the lie of scrimmage while he was trying to run. im hoping it was the penalties that took them away from the run game. as good as brees is, a one dimensional team cannot win. and thats what we were on sunday, and thats why they kept rushing brees. they knew he was throwing.and they were going to keep rushing until they got burned. its like a batter facing a pitcher having control problems, you dont swing until he starts hitting the strike zone consistently.
i hope to see brees take on more of a payton manning role in the play calling, if it remains an issue. |

Re: Question
It seems like we always have problems with Skins, no matter who the QB or coach is.The year we won the Superbowl I think was the year we should have gotten beat by them. Meach ripped the ball from a DB who had picked Brees. I am going to look back and see because that was one of our worse played games that year.

Re: Question
33-30 We won in Ot after they fumbled in OT. They will always be a tough match no matter when we play them. Like the Rams.

Re: Question
Talk about rival. The Falcons rivalry looks like a romantic courting compared to what went on between us and the 49ers. The young ones will never know the kind of hate and loathing that goes into a rivalry like that. Imagine if we would have been knocked out of the playoffs in the first round by Atlanta over and over and over again and knowing all the while that if we beat them there was NOBODY that could stand in our way to the Super Bowl.

Re: Question
Dude, I can still sit here and get angry just thinking about those 49er games.
freakin joe montana. ... roger craig... jerry rice. we might have come up short on the scoreboard... but we sure did knock the living **** out of them on the field. |
