Saints QB Drew Brees listed as full, WR Marques Colston resting sore foot
Bradley Handwerger / WWLTV.com Sports Reporter
Email: bhandwerger@wwltv.com | Twitter: @wwltvsports METAIRIE, La. – New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees was listed on the team’s practice report Wednesday, the first time his name has appeared on the list since the 2010 season. But there’s little to worry about – he was listed as full with a left ankle injury and he said he was good and took all the reps in practice. Not so good, however, was receiver Marques Colston, who was limited with a sore left foot, the same injury that set him back during practice the first week of the season. Interim head coach Aaron Kromer said it was obvious in Sunday’s loss to Carolina that something wasn’t quite right with the receiver. “If you watched the game, he wasn’t Marques Colston in the game,” Kromer said. “You could say that hindered us a little bit. He didn’t run as fast as he normally does. So he’s resting it a little bit this week.” Linebacker Jonathan Casillas (knee) didn’t practice and he joined on the “did not practice list “was defensive end Turk McBride, who continues to miss time with a bum left ankle. Receiver Devery Henderson (concussion), Johnny Patrick (right thigh) and safety Roman Harper (Ieft wrist) all were full. The return of Henderson could be big, Kromer said. “Obviously Devery Henderson is a big factor in our offense because of his speed, he blocks, he’s physical, he can catch the ball,” Kromer said. “He does so much that it’s going to be a big impact having him back.” For Kansas City, tight ends Jake O’Connell (knee) and Kevin Boss (head) and guard Ryan Lilja (back) didn’t practice while defensive tackle Anthony Toribio (ankle), safety Kendrick Lewis (shoulder), cornerbacks Jacques Reeves (hamstring) and Jalil Brown (groin) and receivers Devon Wylie (hamstring), Dexter McCluster (shoulder) and Steve Breaston (wrist) were limited. Colston concerns me. This has been an ongoing issue.
