Re: Can Hartley Be Trusted?
Instead of going off on Hartley, that series can be blamed on Brees. That's the series when he had a wide open PT and his throw was off and we had the questionable reversal on what I still say was a catch because I didn't see enough evidence to over turn it but Brees also had a wide open Graham in the middle of the endzone that he didn't see. It's easy to blame a kicker for a miss but he shouldn't have had to come out on the field in the first place.

Re: Can Hartley Be Trusted?
I still would of signed John Kasey. The missed field goal yesterday has nothing to do with it...

Re: Can Hartley Be Trusted?
There's blame aplenty to go around, no sense only blaming one person or the other.
The O line only looked decent when RBs and TEs were held back to aid in blocking The D line only looked decent once Ellis was out and Hicks was in at the end Hartley misses the true 'pressure kick,' which is really why anyone ever signs a kicker to a decent contract- so when the game is on the line, you make that kick and go home a winner Brees. Yikes. Looks scared (understandably) an hurried all the time, while still looking for the home run. His touch is just off this year so far And WR/TEs dropping balls, again. Except for Lance Moore, dude is so clutch that if the nickname Manual Transmission wasn't so long I'd start calling him that. He got robbed, tie goes to the receiver on a call like that. Pierre got robbed as well; not saying it was a legal catch, I'm just saying that there wasn't video evidence to overturn the call on the field. We're a hot mess folks |
