We need to get Payton a contract extension asap
I meant as soon as we can have contact again. If this season so far isn't a testament to what he means as a HC I don't know what is. If we don't get him extended I know JJ is willing to throw the house at him to get him into Dallas. I don't care how much longer he has left on his contract. Hell, Im not even sure he would take it at this point.

I think he has another 2 years after this year, the 2015 season... I don't know how the suspension affected this year though.

IIRC suspenion meaning without pay. That was a big thing when it first came out. Not so sure about him wanting to goto Dallas. His team is right here, the one he built. Besides I don't think Jerry Jone will atract any good coaches after the way he's been thru the years

I think I read somewhere that Payton came out and said he would like to coach for JJ one day.

Or maybe the Saints clean house and move on? Don't really think that will happen, but who knows. Benson has to be extremely pissed right about now. He has seen his team go through being the class act of the NFL, to this mess. It appears as he has the back of his coaches and players, but who really knows when it comes to Benson. What I do know is the Saints have a Super Bowl ready team and it is failing miserably. I am certain Benson feels that way too. Just saying I wouldn't be surprised if Benson cleans house and decides to start over.

I could however see him cleaning house as far as player personnel goes. Especially on defense.
