NEW ORLEANS - It was a stinging loss for the Who Dat nation as hopes were high the Saints would get back on track with Sunday's match-up against a team that was also winless coming in.

"I just can't believe. Right at the end. I can't believe it," one fan said.

Moments after the Saints' shocking collapse was complete, fans filing out of the Mercedes-Benz Superdome sounded off on what they'd just witnessed.

Some blamed the Black and Gold's stagnant second half offense, while others blamed the porous defense.

"It is frustrating, you know. I mean, it's like they didn't anticipate they were gonna have to stop the run and stop the pass, like it was totally new to them," another fan lamented.

Most seem to agree that there have been too many problems on both sides of the ball.

And a common concern centers on one key absence in the Saints organization.

"Sean Payton's not here. I mean, it was the truth last year when he was in the box. We felt the effects when he was in the box, so now he's not in the Dome at all. We need Payton," said a man leaving the game.

On the bright side we've won 13 in a row before.

Re: Saints fans in low spirits after loss to Chiefs .

Wouldnt it be amazing if cleveland and neworleans both pulled there seasons out of the gutter? Did I just mention Cleveland in the same sentence as Neworleans? Wow!! What has happened to our team? Do you suppose they took a look at themselves in the mirrors and said we cant do this on our own? Thre is no excuse for poor tackling and piss poor pass protection. The offensive line was holding the line for most of the first half. It was as though they just gave up in the entire second half of the game. I hope they can pull it together. I wonder what Payton is saying right now?
