Admitting this to those who might understand
I was sitting in my offive yesterday when the phone rang. As usual I checked the caller id so that I wouldn't have to deal with some salesperson trying to sell me one of the endless number of things I don't need for my office.
Anyway, this time the ID reported the number and "Canton, OH" as the origin of the call. Again, normally I wouldn't answer this and let the machine handle it. But... Even though I didn't want to answer, the idea popped into my head that this could be the Hall of Fame calling with news that I had won a free trip to the HOF Game and I couldn't resist. I mean, who could? Sadly, it turned out to be some salesperson from stamps.com trying to get me to overpay for my postage. :casstet: The dream died there. I just wanted to admit this delusional behavior in the hopes that one of you would admit similarly silly behavior and let me know that I'm not alone here in la-la land. |

LOL. Too funny. In the not funny catagory, I moved to the beach to relax, only to find out I can\'t get the Saints games on Tv. But I refuse to give up. I might have 3 different cable and sat hookups but I\'m watching my Saints.

Hey, I got a call last night and was asked to do a survey on beer consumption. Apparently, a person who did nothing but call around and talk to people about beer was shocked by my consumption... not good. But I did get $5 for answering the questions, so dreams can come true. If not, just go drink a beer.

speaking of beer...
last year during the playoffs I was contacted by a marketing agency, they wanted me to get 3 friends and finish off 24 beers in one sitting then rate the beer. Then try another brand the next week and do the same thing. They supplied the beer and paid me $25 for my effort. After that I started to belive in Jebus... |

Thats where, after many blind taste tests, I concluded that Old Miwaukee is a damm good cheap beer. Many laughed but I was vindicated a few years later when Consumer Reports tested 100 beer experts and the number 1 domestic beer was... You guessed it, Old Milwaukee! [Edited on 5/8/2004 by Danno] |

None of those beer experts could have been Saints fans. My favorite domestic is Miller Genuine Draft. Why? Because the can is black and gold, baby.
That, and while I\'ve heard good things about Old Milwaulkee, it\'s too close in name to Milwaukee\'s Best, and the Beast has kicked my ass so many times that I refuse to try Old Milwaukee. |
