this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; History tells me that we don't throw in towels, that is the team from Pittsburgh. Unfortunately we are known for our bags which I hope I never see again. Glad this thread came back up because I do see hints ...

History tells me that we don't throw in towels, that is the team from Pittsburgh. Unfortunately we are known for our bags which I hope I never see again. Glad this thread came back up because I do see hints of execution on the D. and against all odds we could have an interesting run.

Cam Jordan is having a well above average year. Jenkins has always has the talent to be one of the best starting FS's in the league. Roman Harper is a Pro Bowl SS... he's actually been average to solid this year in coverage. We have a good although struggling corner in Greer. Lofton is a solid MLB. Vilma looks pretty good on the outside as does a healthy Casillas. Bunkley was a #1 DT when we signed him from Denver. Patrick Robinson flashes brillance at times and looks like a deer in the headlights the other times... but talent is not the issues with him. Tez Wilson has flashed plenty of pass rushing potential and Galette is a solid backup. Will Smith is still average to solid. Lack of talent is not the issue. Getting them to play at a consistent level is... and that's on both the coaches and the players. |

Re: Don't throw in the towel just yet...
I was listening to the sports talk radio this morning and an interesting fact was made.
The question was; what team has the best chance of running the table? The answer was NE. over the last 2 years NE is 17-0 during the second half of the season. Do any of you know who has the second best record during the second half of the season? Answer: Our New Orleans Saints 15-2 I found this very uplifting. |
