NFL: Locked-out officials, league agree to deal in time Week 4 - NFL News | FOX Sports on MSN
The NFL and its locked-out officials agreed to terms on a new deal late Wednesday night which would put officials in place for this weekend’s games — including Thursday night's game — according to sources close to the situation. According to the sources, the final sticking point related to the much-discussed pension plan, but that stalemate finally ended. The sides are currently working on paperwork according to sources and at least half of the locked-out officials must approve the new deal, but sources said that is expected to be a formality. Sources said the officials are expected to convene in Dallas on Friday to do things such as collect uniforms and gear. Thank God! |

Re: NFL, Officials agree to deal
This is interesting to see just where the Saints really stand.
I think the officiating crews have let other teams get by with way too much in the Saints games while the Saints and other elite teams are actually playing by the rules. |

Re: NFL, Officials agree to deal
I hope everyone gives the same attention to these guys in regards to how many HORRIBLE calls they make as well. There's no doubt that the replacement refs were worse. But, in the same way the league stood up for the replacement guys despite the obvious errors, they have always defended the regular refs and done so ten times over. ALOT of players and coaches have paid some heavy fines for speaking out against clear and undeniable mistakes made in the past.

It's amazing how a $300 million dollar swing in gambling revenues from a blown call just two days prior brings everyone back to the table to hash out an agreement ... it is all about the Benjamins.

Thank god... the officiating has been utterly dreadful with the replacement refs.

Re: NFL, Officials agree to deal
Now the Saints can get back to their up tempo style of offense, I believe the Pro Ref's will give them that oppurtunuity just by knowing the rules.
Amen, glad it's over |
