The Saint's are in a very good position to make some trades now. Here's the scenario:
Miami's Boston and Williams gone for the season, so we could trade a WR and RB to them for Sam Madison, obviously the WR would have to be Pathon. Green Bay needs D-Line help, so we could trade a Defensive Lineman and a second round pick for McKenzie. With Madison and McKenzie, this will elivate or DB's to one of the best groups in the league without doing any damage to the rest of the team, because of the trades. What's your opinion? Geaux Saint's!!!!! |

Miami wont make that move. First, we don\'t have a RB to trade them that is that much better than what they have now. Second, they could use Pathon, but they\'ve got a couple good WR already and in 2006 they\'d have Boston back plus Pathon and the other WR and no Sam Madison. It doesn\'t solve enough problems for them, imo.
The Packers scenario is a more likely situation, but the longer camp goes on the less likely it is to happen. If the Saints bring in a quality CB today, he MIGHT be able to learn the system by 9/12. The closer the season gets the less likely a CB can come in and start. |

Good morning Scotty. Ok we agree on the second one but here\'s my arguement for the first:
1. The Dolphins are done this year. 2. They have some other good CB\'s and the ones they drafted will have a year of experience going into the 2005 season. 3. I don\'t see a solid 2nd or 3rd receiver on their team. 4. Lamar Smith had a good experience in Miami and would be a solid backup, maybe even a starter. He\'s got at least one good year left. 5. The Dolphins are done this year. It\'s only my opinion, but stepping out of the box, your\'s makes sense too. That\'s why they call it an opinion. Geaux Saints!!!!! |

Assuming this helps them this year, I wonder how bad it hurts them in 2006. CB is such a needed position - depth is so important. If they trade Madison and Poole doesn\'t work out, they\'re in a hole for years. |

while both of these deals sound enticing..... they would defiently put us over the cap as both of those guys are very high priced....

They lose two players and they\'re done? We lost 1/2 our defense last year, including our best defensive player and all I heard was \"injuries are no excuse\" Now Miami loses one key player and a WR that hasn\'t lived up to expectations for 2 straight years now. I think they\'ll be a better team without Williams and Boston. They may still be an average team but it\'ll have nothing to do with losing Williams and Boston. |

Danno, they\'re done. It\'s not that they wont win any games, but do you really consider them a threat without Ricky? Add to his leaving the loss a guy that was going to be a starting WR. Plus, they already have questions at QB.
I say 6-10 at best. |

Even with the loss of Boston, Feeley will be playing with a better receiving corp than he was used to in Philly. That may be hard to believe, but they were flat out bad.
Would love to see Madison in black and gold, but that trade scenario seems to be slightly favored to the Saints. The McKenzie deal would work, but which defensive lineman would you propose? |

It\'s what they lost and what they never had and don\'t have again this year. Here\'s some stats:
1. The Dolphins only passed for 975 more net yards then the rushed last year, 2792 total net passing yards. 2. The Dolphins had a total of 31 offensive touchdowns last season and of that 31, Ricky had 11 rushing and 1 receiving, Chamber\'s had 11 receiving. 14 out of the 31 TD\'s were rushing TD\'s. 3. The Dolphin\'s had 17 passing TD\'s, Chambers had 11 of them and Ricky had 1. 4. Fiedler threw 11 TD\'s and 13 INT\'s. We won\'t talk about Greise. 5. The Dolphins had a total of 1817 rushing yards and you guessed it Ricky had 1372 of them. He also had 351 yards receiving out of 2792 net passing yards. 6. Chambers, Mare and Ricky had 225 combined points, which is almost the entire total for the team. 7. Chamber\'s and Ricky combined for approx. 2730 years out of a team total of 4609 net yards. Once again, I say the Dolphins are done this year, Fielder and Feeley are career backups at best and Minor is no Ricky. Now that Boston is down, who is the next receiving threat after Chamber\'s? No one! I predict an 8-8 season and you can quote me on that one. |
