Re: Colston contract a mistake?

The Saint problems have precious little to do with Nicks being in Tampa!

No head coach and injuries are reasons 1 and 1a why!

Absolute BS. His contract made room to sign more players, had he signed the FT, there would have been less room.

But brees' team friendly deal proved to be everything but team friendly, now we have a frail O line, a battered and slow receiving corp and underachieving 100 million dollar man
Do a little research.

Drews contract this year $3M

Had he signed $16.3 M

And no contract was put in front of him to sign before he was tagged. Once he was tagged, no one else could be tagged this year.

Watching Colston today is painfull. All he can do is limp around on that foot injury. Unless you're betting on them, these games are meaningless. Why aren't we sitting Marques until he gets better or, with an injury that takes so long to heal, put him on IR??

Can you not see that he's hurting? There is no point in continuing to aggravate that injury in meaningless games. He has an injury that is NOT going to get better until he stays off of it.

No I did not see him hurting at all in this game and every game counts. Especially NFC south and NFC games.

A) Conference opponent. Hardly a meaningless game. Especially at 0-3, that win on the road would've been a HUGE morale boost

B) I have heard numerous NFL players quoted as saying that nearly all of them are playing through pain at some point in the season, just a matter of when

C) He was clutch in that game and was a big reason we almost squeaked out of there with a win. Did he drop a couple? Yeah, but he also hung onto WAY more

A 60% healthy Colston is better than most of our other options.
