this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; Shanle can't tackle, he can't cover and he can't rush. The best place for Shanle is on the bench. That is where he can do the most good. I agree. Put Wilson in, take Shanle out....

I remember a player (or coach) 2 years ago comment that a lot of times Shanle will see someone out of position on a play and runs to where the broken assignment is, often too late. People mistake that as Shanle was slow and out of position when in fact he knew the other player blew his assignment and tried to help out, but couldn't get there in time. Shanle may be the smartest player we have on defense. |
