this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; I hate their fans but I don't mind either of the teams. Peterson and Urlacher are some of my favourite players. I'd say Vikings thou because we can go to their dome and smash them if we have to....

Re: Would you rather the vikings or the bears win the NFC north?
I'm with RaginCajun83 and hope somehow the Lions wind up on top of the NFC North, but it ain't lookin' good, ... for the sake of staying on topic, I guess I'd go with Minnesota. As much as I personally dislike Jarred Allen, I respect his play ... Ponder's having a good year, Percy Harvin's fun to watch and I've always admired Adrian Peterson. I like the fact they were smart enough to draft Matt Kalil (OT, USC) in the first round and they have a young offensive line that is playing well. Plus, they've been the NFC North doormat lately and it's good to see them doing well ... sorta', .
When I look at Chicago, I wonder "when does the implosion start?". Cutler is poison and any NFL QB that shoves his lineman during a game oughta' have his ass handed to him. Urlacher is a class act and throwback to the linebacking greats of Bears past, but it's not enough to get me to prefer they'd win the Division ... "Nope. Not gonna' do it. Wouldn't be prudent" . |

Re: Would you rather the vikings or the bears win the NFC north?
I hate them both but I'm gonna pick the Bears because Goodell's wife is from Minnesota, his daughter is an avowed Vikings fan, Goodell tailgated in Minnesota with Vikings fans on the Sunday that Brees broke the Johnny Unitas record, and Goodell was just on talk radio in Minneapolis the other day talking about how he'd like to "bring" the Vikings fans a Super Bowl (no, I am not making this up).
I want the Lions to win! |

On topic... I go with the Vikings. Can't stand the Bears and the Vikes have some great talent. One of the best RB and WR in the game today. |

Hey, maybe Goodell figures if he aligns himself with an NFL franchise in a cold-weather state, it'll discourage Saints fans from tracking him down, . |

Re: Would you rather the vikings or the bears win the NFC north?
Check this out:
"Goodell scheduled his trip to Minnesota on his own to meet with Vikings ownership, but while in town the Vikings did arrange for Goodell to make a stop at Tailgate Lot #1 prior to the Vikings/Titans game Sunday afternoon. After all, we did learn that Goodell's 11-year old daughter is a Vikings fan on the Dan Barreiro Show last week! After yucking it up with fans, Goodell moved inside the Dome where he had a brief meeting with reporters and the stepped aside for an interview with KFAN's Paul Allen and the Vikings Radio Network. Goodell took the time to cover a handful of issues pertaining to the Minnesota Vikings and the NFL. Speaking of the Minnesota fans he met with, Goodell shared that the NFL constantly has an open ear to the fans to better improve the league. "They have been very vocal about what we can do to improve the draft," Goodell said. "They have been very vocal about preseason games. They are vocal about a lot of issues; again we take those into account and try to see what we can do to address them." Goodell went on to share that despite his disappointment in the way that the Replacement Refs situation went down, the outcome of that situation will make the officiating and the league better in the long-term. In regards to the Saints "Bounty-Gate" situation, Goodell simply said, "We're working on it. As soon as we get it done, we'll announce it." Link: The Vikings Blog - KFAN Sports Radio FM 100.3 - The Fan So....hmmm....if the Minnesota fans are "vocal" about something, then Goodell "sees what he can do" to address the issue. Does that sound uh, kinda familiar, folks? |

Re: Would you rather the vikings or the bears win the NFC north?
I retract everything I said in post #12 and would like to reissue the following opinion:
"If the Lions (or Packers) can't win the NFC North, I'd rather see the Bears win it, over the Vikings" ... I think I may have just threw up a little, but that's my story & I'm sticking to it ... Minnesota fans have shown themselves to be little more than common street-walkers ... can I say that on here? . |
