I think what he means (hopefully) is that Drew isnt a MOTIVATOR....which i dont really agree with either. I dont think he is an in your face as some QB's but as for saying he isnt a leader, there is no justification behind that. He leads by example. He organized and paid for offseason OTAs during lockout. That is leadership. Just because he doesnt try to fire up the guys a la Ray Lewis, you cant say he "isnt a leader"

Drew is 94-66 career as a starting QB. Not good enough for you? That's the #20 winningest QB of all motherfreaking time. The record speaks for itself, clown. You don't like it, go back to the ostrich races. Worst post by a Saints fan since Al Hirt left the microphone on.

Ill bite. Ive read all of your posts and since this is not the smack talk section I will answer informatively.

Leadership:

1. The development of Jimmy Graham. If you doubt Drew's leadership talk to Jimmy. Really GO TALK TO JIMMY.
2. Brought in Sproles. Sproles is a seasoned veteran, if Drew was not a leader and Sproles didn't see that, Darren would be on another team. Sproles is not a WR brought in to pad Drews stats.
3. Brought the entire team together during the lockout for practice. Drew did this before it was the chic thing to do.
4. Has voiced his dissatisfaction over what Goodell has done to fellow players... Remember Drew does not have a dog in this show... He could sit back and say nothing. He doesnt... he stands up for his team.
5. The man plays hurt... Quite often.. That is not a me first mentality.
6. Drew spends more time with a ball in his hand before and after practice than any other player in the league. Maybe Payton Manning would tie in this.
7. The entire team, every QB in the league, coaches, all respect and recognize his leadership qualities... The only people who have issue with Drew as a person are people who think he "makes too much".
8. Drew has consistently credited someone else or the team for all of his records.


You have a distorted view of leadership, QB responsibility, and reality in general. "Will them to win"... WTF?

QB is the toughest position in the league to play... You want Drew to coach the o-line? Defensive game plan? Perhaps help design the Saintsations uniforms?

I am not replying because I think this is debatable by any measure. I just think you are blind to reality and need a little light shed on the reality of the situation.

It's funny how folks thought when Joe Vitt came back we'd win because he yells at people... Now folks say Drew isn't a leader because he's not yelling at people and chewing them out on the side lines. How stupid does that sound? You don't see him the entire time on the sideline, you're also not in the lockroom therefore you don't know what you're talking about. This was a horrible game by the entire team. Defense played against a very good team and John fox just had our number...


Drew is the best player we have... Best not to question his leadership now after we've made him the highest paid player. That would also mean we have poor management too. Are you ready to go there)

I'm just gonna' assume the "NO" in "Drew Brees is NO leader !" is the abbreviation for "New Orleans" and interpret the thread title as, "Drew Brees is New Orleans' leader !", because to call into question the leadership of arguably one of the best QBs of all time is to suggest that one does not understand the principles or traits required to be a leader.

There's a lot of QBs out there that aren't leaders ... Drew Brees is not one of them.
