I"ve been critical of Drew lately, (some are calling me a hater/ bandwagoner, etc.) but he IS a leader, and a good one, when his head is there.

Brees is the leader of this group and Payton is the coach and the soul of the team.
Brees doesn't read on the side line. He studies! And that blank stare was the realization that the season was over. That stare was the only time he wasn't studying their defense. The man is only human and I could see him thinking that it had all fallen apart.
