Evan Silva @evansilva 13m

ESPN's John Clayton said on NFL Live that LeGarrette Blount & Chris Ivory could "probably" be had for 7th-rd picks before trade deadline.

IDK, I'd rather see them try to make a real splash with a trade.

Even though I think the guy has some real potential, I wouldn't be totally against trading Ingram for an impact player on the defensive side of the ball.

Trade the proven non-gainer.

While its true he's made of glass, and constantly fumbles, and can't protect Drew from getting blasted, and doesn't play special teams, I'd rather keep him than lose him for a 7th rounder.

Unfortunately right now I think our offense is like a big chest or trunk full of kids' toys at this point. They're all jumbled up in there and Carmichael is trying to fish them out one at a time, and figure out what to do with them. BUT I want Payton to be the one to come back and unpack them and sort them out and arrange them when he gets back. I mean if you have ever seen a little kid, can you imagine if they got rid of one of his toys, while he was away, even one he never uses or doesn't like? It'd be murder.

Well, considering he's been healthy for over 2 years now, I don't see where the made of glass statement comes in or for that matter holds water. Additionally, neither can Ingram as far as blocking for Brees goes so both statements are invalid. However, he does out perform both PT and Ingram when given the chance, oh, and the fumble thing?? He's only done that in practice so nothing to make that valid in a game situation.

Ivory for a 7th? Why not?

Hell, I'd piss on a spark plug if I thought it would help...

Which is exactly why Ingram is not going anywhere. Im with Fin, I'd rather move Ingram and get a good pick.

Re: Ivory for a 7th rounder?

Ivory's contribution this year is still a QUESTION MARK. He's the only player on the team with a 5.0 lifetime YPC who has not contributed this year and all we can do is continue to talk about is fumbles and injuries?

Colston fumbles.
Moore is constantly injured.
Graham is constantly injured.
P.T. was the last of our RB's to be injured.
Hell, even that CHUMP Hartley has been injured since Ivory.
