Defense from last night

I know the eagles offensive line is in a mess right now but you still gotta look at how good this was an achievement for our D, considering how we've played all season

Cam Jordan - 3 sacks last night, puts him at 6 for the year, thats pretty good production so far for a guy brought in to be a run stopping end

Will smith - I couldnt believe he got 2 sacks

Martez - would have had 2 sacks but the first one was wiped saying he hit vick illegally which is BS, vick lowered his helmet into wilson

13 points allowed in my eyes is the best stat

5 redzone trips for the eagles - 1 INT TD, 2 field goals, 1 fumbles and a 4th down fail
Thats damn good red zone effort by our guys

If cadet didnt fumble, the eagles would have only scored 10, they got their only points when we forgot to cover desean jackson which was dumb

All in all, a great defensive effort, but there are so many things to improve

I said all week Mccoy would make our run D look stupid, and he did it after quarter of play, the only reason he didnt get more yards is because they couldnt run when we were 21-3 up.
Missed tackles were everywhere, someone in live chat was keeping a count because i saw it numerous times, think it ended on 17

Great win, lets give the falcons a scare shall we!

They are worse than a mess... All but one is second or third string.

I think if they just don't blow coverages on two or three plays, then we have something. Those two or three plays cost us a few games.

Sorry, they ate us alive..... Little bit bettering and Vick would have hurt us through the air also.

I will give them this and I've said it for a few weeks now. We are good in the red zone. 5 red zone trips and only 2 FGs.

We should just let our opponents start on our 30.

Re: Defense from last night

All week the talk has been how this game was going to give the Eagles some kinda mojo back because they were playing the worst defense in football. Funny thing happened though...looks like we are the one's that might have gotten the mojo going.

We beat up a bad O line and I will take it! The confidence gained from that defensive beat down should carry into the next game against the dirty turds.

Did Shanle play I noticed the line up changes. In the beginning of the game I kept trying to see how many snaps Shanle and Ellis; I did notice Ellis a few plays but not many. The D looked a lot better more athletic along the front

Nola.com reported that we used Lofton, vilma and casillas more than anyone

when casillas wasn't in, we used martez wilson as a nickel back and blitzed him through the A gap, it worked wonders, vick couldnt get away from Tez and when he tried to run, cam jordan was there

Re: Defense from last night

The defense done wel againts a piss poor offense. Truth is it was an ugly win for us. Don't kid yourself nothing has changed.
The offense will still go 3 and out in the worst possible times and the defense well....
Still blows

Re: Defense from last night

If the Eagles had any sense they would have continued to run regardless of the score. They can't protect Vick and we have trouble against the run.
