I have only seen bits of the last couple of games due to kick off times and work.
You play your starters until someone proves themselves to be a starter through substitution.

Always have your best on the field

Hoping for the playoffs, but probably just lowering our draft slot. But we have to play to win.

Re: Playoffs or damaging draft pick

Losing on purpose to gain a highly touted pick(s), I can't think of one sound argument to persuade me it's a smart move. Every player is trying to increase their value (or should be) win or lose. This creates opportunities not only for them, but also the team. Increased trade value, increased interest from FA's, increased interests for staff wanting to get to the next level.

Re: Playoffs or damaging draft pick

OG Blaize Foltz 6th round "Freak List"
DE Margus Hunt 3rd round "Freak List"
LB Jarvis Jones 1st round
TE Joseph Fauria 5th round
QB Landry Jones or WR Quinton Patton 4th round (outside shots WAY OUTSIDE)
C Stephen Warner UD Traded our 7 for Barrett Ruud and released him a short time later.

We have a shortage of players that stand out physically.

Re: Playoffs or damaging draft pick

Winning on Monday night football could catapult us back onto a winning streak. If we were to lose the next few games then I could see us experimenting with a 3-4.
We run it a little I would like to see it more than we see it now. Hicks might do fine at NT with a little more experience.
Experience. That is what our back ups need. Film. That is what our coaches need on our back up players. We need to be able to better evaluate our depth at the end of the season.
In other words I'm for working towards draft picks if it is absolutely necessary. We're not there yet.

2 years ago 10-6 won the Super Bowl
1 year ago 9-7 won the Super Bowl

So why are we throwing away the season?

Excellent point Rugby. Can't evaluate players playing for picks and the draft is a poor evaluation of player potential. I'd say it's the worst farming system in sports because every year great players come out of nowhere from small schools.

This. All it takes is for a team to get hit at the right time. Get in and see what happens.
