Playoffs or damaging draft pick
I'm not for one second saying we should blow the season to get a good pick, but are are the Saints damaging the next few years by winning games.
Simple question Is a wild card slot still there or is a top 10 pick being blown to have a few extra wins? |

Re: Playoffs or damaging draft pick
So what are you saying then? Stop trying to improve and hope we miraculously improve next season?
Draft picks... or in this case 1 earlier first round draft pick will not mend our defense. |

Just asking the question
Are we in a position to make the playoffs or is it time to try and put the less experienced players like Hicks into the starting line up to get them used to the system that will be used. I have only seen bits of the last couple of games due to kick off times and work. |

Re: Playoffs or damaging draft pick
I say play to the best of your ability, take it one game at a time and see what happens. If we get a wildcard spot so be it. 1st rounder is a first rounder regardless of if its top 10 or not. It all the depends on if the scouts make the right pick. 1 top ten first rounder is not going to fix the defense entirely. FA is the best bet for getting better players quickly.
If they can make a run...I'm all for it. |

Re: Playoffs or damaging draft pick
I heard that all last year up here in Indy. "Should the Colts give up to get the number one pick?"
As Chris Carter woulds say. "C'mon MAN!!!" |

Were Brees in his 20's I might be in favor of playing with picks in mind (refuse to say tanking). But if this league if you have an elite QB over the age of 30 you go all out every year, because you never know how much time they have left.
Play for the wild card and hope this team gets/stays hot at the right time. Tanking is for teams with no chance at the playoffs and that need a total rebuild. Not one of the top offenses in the league with an aging (not old) franchise qb. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I747 using Tapatalk 2 |

Re: Playoffs or damaging draft pick
Not this ******* crap again.
You play to win every game you play. High draft picks don't guarantee success. Instilling a winning attitude into your organization is what keeps windows open. |
