So you think beating the Clowns was a big deal?

Still under .500.

Still third place in the division after 9 games.

Still 5th in a five team race for last playoff spot.

Still have Giants, Clowns, and cowgirls on the road.
Still have Niners, bucs and panties at home.

Still hardest schedule remaining of playoff contenders.

Don't be Karl Rove.

Giants got owned by Bengals today, Saints OWN the falcons and dallas is, well, dallas.

40-whiners having problems with rams, saints BEAT bucs already, (did you not get that memo), and panthers will find out what playing the saints in a game that matters is like!

Saints still have a lot of improving to do on both sides of the ball, but 4-5 is a helluva lot better than 3-6, and have the best record in our division 2-1.

Okay read through line six and I still feel good about the win and being that team that defeated the undefeated Dirty Birds.

Re: So you think beating the Clowns was a big deal?

Jesus man, don't you think we know all that? What's wrong with being happy about a win? ESPECIALLY when said win comes against the failclowns. I'm growing tired of all the sandy crotches who jump on here right after a win to brow beat our team and try to make the rest of us feel dumb for celebrating. Go pee in someone else's cheerios.

Yes it's a big deal. It's one more win one step closer to 11-5 a loss for the falcons. A tit fit for roddy white EVERY win is a big deal in the NFL. "C'MON MAN!!!!"

All true, and I don't expect us to make the playoffs, but I thought it was a big deal because we are playing with passion. It makes me hopeful for next year.

At least it feels good, and shoot who knows- maybe we go on a little run.

Better than losing, even though all of your points are valid

Bad post, all the way around. It's one thing to talk about a few negatives that happened in a win, but to act like winning doesn't matter is just dumb.

And your Karl Rove reference was particularly ridiculous. Get over yourself.

With all due respect xan...so what. We beat the "best team in the NFL" today, and it just happened to be the Falcons. We punched the dirty birds right in the mouth, and it feels good.

:bng:

edit: Not only that, we just showed them wht the playoffs are going to be like.

Re: So you think beating the Clowns was a big deal?

Dumbest post I've ever heard.

Hard schedule?

@Raiders- this is hard to you?

49ers- Alex Smith is hurt and it might take a while for him to get back in rhythm.

@Falcons- Honestly I think this team actually does worse at home. Their closes wins against the lousy raiders and panthers were both at home.

@Giants- Giants are terrible at home and have you seen them recently? They just got blown out by the BENGALS!

Bucs- We beat them on the road, we'll beat at home.

@Cowboys- Really?REALLY?

Panthers- Once again. Really? REALLY!?????

Re: So you think beating the Clowns was a big deal?

Ok, Saints are 4-5. That is getting up there.
They are still very much in the NFL 2012.
Is today December 31, 2012? No.
Saints win over Atlanta Birdies today wasthis close, maybe not the prettiest, BUT, Saints won. W is a W is a W. L is a L is a L.
They dethroned the Atlanta Birdies.
Other reasons, so many Atlanta fans were in N.O. for the game
( good for economy).
Many N.O. live there in Atlanta and that area.
Many N.O. had game day parties.
Hey, I am not even in N.O. and I sure that is how it was.
Sending some tourists dollars this weekend to N.O. That is always good!!

About the game, the Saints beat them today so the Saints have that momentum and skill, knowledge , feeling to be able to do it again in Atlanta in prime time on Thursday night , November 29.
If the Saints can beat the late stuffing out of Atlanta at AF home in prime time, oohhhh :-) that would be something.
Saints schedule, considereing the defense is not strong and sometimes offense is improving, it is all very doable.
Oakland Raiders Nov 18 at Raiders.
SanFran 49's , I will say is a challenge, BUT any given game day, who knows who will win.
If the Saints want to beat the 49's, they can do it.
Alanta Thursday night next.
Already discussed that.
NY Giants at NY, Dec. 9.
NY Giants are running hot/warm/cold. Really!
Tampa Bay rematch at Superdomne Dec. 13....Saints can do this and almost did at start of season. Pride is at stake and Saints should handle Tampa Bay and even it out with Tampa Bay.
Saturday, Dec. 22 Saints at Dallas Cowpokes. Really?
Sun., Dec 30, Carolina rematch at Superdome this time and the Saints should, can defeat them for the same reasons I said about Tampa Bay.

Saints won. :cheering:
Alls happy in Saintsville. :bng:
Tomorrow, tomorrow can be for Monday Morning Quarterback game.:crash:

You all can't see how big my smile is.

I hope the Saints players are as jazzed about the win as some of the less charitable posters and bring the same game we saw today.

I am on the record as saying a 2-14 season with both victories over the falcons constitutes a winning season and a year end bonus.

We know, we know! But celebrating a win beats mourning a loss. Gotta keep believing. After all, there was a time when no one believed we'd ever go to a SuperBowl much less win one. Who Dat?!!!!

And the glass isn't half full, who cares? When the self proclaimed "team of destiny" is defeated by the worst defense in NFL history, yes it is a BIG DEAL! The Saints are doing it the only way you can, one game at a time. A win is a win! This game proves that statistics are for losers!!!! The only stat that really matters is the final score!!

neugey 11-11-2012 11:17 PM

Re: So you think beating the Clowns was a big deal?

The win was great and it was also nice to see the running game dominate again. Also we did a great job stopping Turner and making Atlanta one dimensional. I'll gladly take a QB throwing for 400 yards against us if we can consistently stop runs for no gain. We'll win a lot of those games.

The secondary hung in there despite some mistakes. Quddus and Corey White looked pretty good, and both Harper and Greer came up with some key plays. Didn't get sacks, but we forced Ryan to hurry some throws. Compared to other weeks, I'll certainly take it.
